Fair Usage Policy

At SayAbout.us, we believe in being a partner to your brand. That means we give you the tools the giants try to gatekeep — unlimited hosting, unlimited widgets, and no "Success Taxes."
But "Unlimited" is a heavy word. For us to keep our prices at the floor and our servers running at the ceiling, we need a mutual agreement. This policy isn't here to restrict your growth; it's here to prevent exploitation. If you are using SayAbout.us to build a legitimate brand, you will likely never even need to read this.
If you are looking for a loophole, read carefully.

The "One Brand" Rule (Single Entity Usage)

"Unlimited" means unlimited testimonials for one single brand or business entity.

  • The Logic: We don't want to be the "Agency Loophole." If you are an agency managing 20 different clients, each client needs their own account.
  • The Limit: One account = One brand. Using a single $10/mo account to host testimonials for multiple separate businesses is a violation. It's not fair to the companies paying for their own infrastructure, and it's not fair to us.

We Are Not a Cloud Storage Provider

SayAbout.us is a trust-building engine, not a video hosting site like YouTube or a storage site like Dropbox.

  • The Content: All uploads must be "Testimonials"—verifiable feedback from a customer about a product or service.
  • The Length: Video testimonials are capped at roughly 5 minutes.
  • The Restriction: Using our servers to host webinars, training videos, product demos, or your vlogs is strictly prohibited. If it isn't a customer vouching for you, it doesn't belong here.

Automated Abuse & System Integrity

We removed the "Login Wall" for your customers to make life easy for them. Do not use that freedom to hurt the system.

  • Bot Protection: We reserve the right to throttle or block any account showing "unusually high" submission rates that suggest bot activity or scripted attacks.
  • The Goal: We want to ensure that 1,000 real people can leave reviews without a single bot slowing down the site for everyone else.

The LTD (Lifetime Deal) Add-On Clause

For our early believers on the Lifetime Deal: You own the "Core Infrastructure" forever.

  • Core Features: You will always have unlimited video/text collection, imports, and widgets as they exist today.
  • The Add-Ons: As we evolve, we may launch "Premium Features" or "Third-Party Integrations" (like AI-driven insights, automated transcription, or advanced editing tools) that carry significant recurring costs for us. We reserve the right to offer these as optional paid add-ons for LTD holders. We will always try to include you, but we won't bankrupt the company to do it.

Restricted Industries & Content

Trust cannot be built on a foundation of harm. We do not provide services to, and will immediately terminate without refund, any account involved in:

  • Illegal gambling or betting.
  • Adult content, pornography, or sexually explicit material.
  • Hate speech, harassment, or the promotion of violence.
  • Deceptive marketing practices or scam operations.

Cancellation & The "Clean Slate" Policy

We don't believe in "handcuffs," but we do believe in "clean data."

  • The Downgrade: If you cancel a paid plan, your account moves to the "Branded" tier. Your widgets will stay live, but they will show the SayAbout.us branding.
  • The 30-Day Window: We will retain your data for 30 days after cancellation.
  • The Export: At the end of those 30 days, we will send you a final export link. That link will stay active for 15 days.
  • The Deletion: Once those 15 days are up (45 days total from cancellation), your data is automatically and permanently deleted from our servers.
  • Exceptions: We may retain certain data as required by law or for legitimate security purposes, but by default, once you leave, we clear the deck.

The Final Word

We are in this to help you build a brand people cannot ignore. Don't exploit the system, and the system will never stop working for you. If we find an account is operating outside the spirit of this "Fair Use" agreement, we will reach out to find a solution.
If we can't find one, we reserve the right to restrict or terminate access to protect our community of honest founders.
